I consider that the difficulty is with the book - not your Kindle. There's a great e-book manager for Pc that might aid. Set preferences in Calibre to "Transliterate unicode characters to an ASCII representation." You can find the setting underneath Calibre> Preferences> Common Choices. http://calibre-ebook.com/
